School Holidays

Hello all, Please enjoy the break we now have and I look forward to seeing everyone upon our return. Please remember any clothes bags are to be returned straight after half term, and any shoe boxes for operation Christmas child. We are aiming to set a record! All hands on deck, if you can't find a shoe box, but have some items you wish to donate, please still bring these in - I am sure we can find somewhere to put them. Many thanks, Have a great break. Miss James

Thank you

Morning all, Thank you to everyone who has returned the Prince William Award photo permission slips, this is really helpful. Yesterday your son/daughter will have received a letter about our year 4 residential. As you now know we are using Croft farm and I am really looking forward to all of the activities they offer, I hope that everyone wants to take part in this fantastic opportunity. Another big thank you to everyone who have been reading with your children, this really supports their work at school especially their writing skills, it is lovely to see so many children enjoying books and writing. On the same note, thank you to all the fantastic home learning, our corridor has been changed and if your child made a model for the first question this will have come home now.

Another week gone...

Thank you to everyone who has handed in home learning (this is due in on Monday). We are definitely running out of room in class to find somewhere to put it all, but it looks fantastic and we have had such a range of learning coming in from posters to videos! Another great afternoon with Kelly, our skills force instructor. We are really enjoying our work towards the Prince William Award. Below are some pictures of the games we played today to focus on our listening and cooperation, as well as many other key skills. Ask your children what they focused on today!

Pizza Express!

We had a fantastic time at Pizza Express yesterday morning. We heard all about the ingredients they use. See if your child can remember how many tomatoes are in one large tin of pizza sauce. Or How many balls of dough the whole company will use in one day! (I will publish the answers in my next post!) Children got to shape their own bases and top them with their sauce and cheese! It looked very messy, but they were all wearing aprons and their own chief hat. Then also got to sample some of the other toppings which get used. I hope they all enjoyed their pizzas last night. they smelled delicious! Until next time, Miss James

How quick this week has been...

Good afternoon everyone, I wanted to start this post by saying a big thank you to all for your support at Harvest and for the Macmillan coffee morning. We had a fantastic week last week. Between all our great learning, we have also finished a whole Morris dance from start to finish, which was amazing to see. Myself and Mrs Barlow were very impressed with the whole class! We also had a chance to meet some police officers and different vehicles on Friday, and yes Cassiopeia did put both myself and Mrs Haines in the cage in the back of the van :( I am sure you have all now heard about our amazing Friday afternoon, with visitor Kelly Morgan, she will be joining us for Friday afternoons and doing some fun work each week. Due to the excitement of our day on Friday, the new spellings for this week didn't get handed out. These will go home on Monday instead. I am very much looking forward to our trip to pizza express this week! Miss James
